Minecraft server ping test

Measure the latency between you and our Warsaw data centre live.

Click to measure your ping to Warsaw.

This is an estimate from your browser. Actual in-game ping may differ.

An honest measurement

The test address connects directly to the machines hosting our customers' servers. We deliberately bypass Cloudflare and other CDNs: a proxy test would show ping to the nearest CDN point instead of the actual data centre. The result reflects the ping you can expect when playing on a voxelhost server.

Frequently asked questions

What is ping?

Ping is the time a packet takes to travel from your computer to the server and back, measured in milliseconds (ms). Lower ping means faster reactions: combat, placing blocks and events happen without delay.

What ping is good for Minecraft?

Below 30 ms, gameplay is smooth and delay is barely noticeable. Results up to 60 ms still offer comfortable gameplay. Problems such as rubber-banding and delayed combat usually start above 100 ms.

Why does server location matter?

In practice, each 1,000 km adds roughly a dozen milliseconds. Servers in Germany usually have 30–60 ms ping from Poland. Our machines are in Warsaw, so players in Poland often see single-digit results or around 10 ms.

How does this test work?

Your browser connects directly to our Warsaw data centre, bypassing CDNs and proxies, and sends a series of small packets. We show the median time after discarding the initial samples that include connection setup. This is the same network route used by game traffic.

Why is my result high?

Mobile connections (LTE/5G) naturally have higher ping: 30–50 ms is normal regardless of the server. VPNs, busy Wi-Fi and distance from Poland also affect it. Wired internet in Poland usually gives results below 20 ms.
